Digitizing is the process of creating a computerized embroidery design file that is readable by embroidery machines. It is created by trained personnel taking a logo or other graphic design and converting it through the use of specialized software into an embroidery file. Digitizing fees are generally a one time fee as the same file can be used on subsequent orders. There are no digitizing fees when purchasing an item; if you use a design option from our Gift Shop, a standard font text, or a design from our Design Library. In addition, digitizing fees may be waived for nonprofit organizations when 12 or more items are purchased with the design. Please contact us for more information. Digitizing Services: In addition to providing digitizing services to our retail and contract customers, we also provide digitizing services to Commercial and Home Embroiders. We can provide fast turn around on our digitizing services by exchanging files with you via email. Digitizing fees are $10 per thousand stitches with a $20 minimum fee. Complex designs that include photos or intricate designs will be billed on an hourly basis. Digitizing fees for a typical shirt or hat logo would run from $40 to $80. Digitizing fees for a jacket back design would range from $100 to $400. Initial design layouts will be provided on paper or by email for customer comments. One sewn sample per design will be provided upon request. Any additional sewn samples will incur a $10 fee per sample.
